From Imaj Gallery…I am delighted to share this beautiful wedding of L & K. I am very happy being a part of this wedding.

From the beautiful Bride…We spent the week leading up to our wedding with our friends and family in magical Bali, one of our fave places in the world! We then had our bridal party stay with us at the Villa for the wedding. It was so lovely waking up together, having a delicious breakfast and relaxing by the pool before the wedding preparations began. Our day was just magical! We were so grateful to all our family and friends who travelled to Bali to celebrate with us and so touched by the all the love we received from everyone. Looking back on the photos now you can literally see the love that was in the air.

I had my mum walk me down the aisle to the acoustic version of Eric Clapton’s ‘Wonderful Tonight’. It was a beautiful, intimate moment we shared just before we walked out and one I will treasure forever. Walking down the aisle and seeing Calvin was just amazing. We both had butterflies!

We really enjoyed having our professional photos taken which literally just involved us having fun whilst being photographed! Our photographer, Imaj did an incredible job of capturing genuine raw images and we are so over the moon that we chose them.

Some wonderful speeches were said at our wedding. Calvin and I both said a speech and it was something I am so glad I did. It felt so good to acknowledge the people in my life who mean so much to me.

We loved our first dance to one of our favorite Van Morrison songs ‘Days like This’. We didn’t have much time to practice and we thought we might be nervous but in the end we just let it all go and really enjoyed the moment for what is was, our first dance together as husband and wife! It was so much fun and one of the highlights of our day.

Our florist, Florette really helped create a a lovely romantic feel for our reception through our gorgeous table arrangements. On top of lace table runners that we had made we had a mixture of roses, hydrangeas and baby’s breath in different sized vases and bottles with some placed on wooden logs. We adored the absolutely gorgeous ceremonial arch, bouquets and bespoke table arrangements. In fact I couldn’t help but shed a tear when I saw them! It really was everything I had envisioned. I felt like I was lost in the best dream of my life!

Something that was really important to us was for our wedding day to be a true reflection of us and we definitely feel as though who we are was embodied in so many facets on the day.

I didn’t have a great deal of time to look for a dress given our 4 month wedding timeframe. The dress I chose was the first one I tried on. loved the gorgeous intricate lace pattern and the sweet jacket. It was perfect for Bali’s balmy weather, whilst still being classic and elegant. My bridesmaids dresses were picked to suit each of them and ordered online. Calvin and his groomsmen’s attire was from Marcs.

We didn’t have time to travel to Bali to check out potential venues, however after considerable research we chose the very rustic and gorgeous Villa Istana Semer in Umulas, just north of Seminyak. We were so incredibly fortunate to have chosen this Villa as it proved to be a truly stunning estate full of character and charm. After locking in our venue we only had four months to plan our wedding so we were quite busy and it wasn’t always easy, however we worked closely with our Wedding Planner Karen from Cher Ange Weddings who was fantastic. We really couldn’t have done it without her, she helped pull everything together on the day so we could just relax and enjoy it!
